On a scale of 1 – 10 how committed are you to making changes?  If the answer is 5 or less, make sure your target for the amount of weight you want to lose reflects that. You are not going to lose a dress size a month, but you may lose a dress size every 7-8 weeks. If it’s between 6-8,  you probably can lose a dress size a month. What you achieve is directly related to the amount of effort you put in.  It’s far better to operate at a 6-7 and be able to sustain it – for life! Than to go all out at 9 or 10 and give up because you just can’t keep it up. Remember the story of the tortoise and the hare?  When you embark on a programme you cant sustain, failure is inevitable, then next time you want to lose weight your unconscious mind remembers the failure and will sabotage your efforts to save you the pain.
